چکیده

The objective of this work is to study the effect of parameters on resistance spot weld of ASS316 material. In order to study the significance of the process parameters i.e. current, electrode force and weld cycles, towards the percentage improvement in material hardness. It is clear from the results that parameters significantly affect both the mean and the variation in the percentage improvement in Hardness values of the ASS316 material. The S/N ratio analysis suggests third level of weld current, third level of weld cycle and third level of electrode force as the best levels for maximum percentage improvement in hardness of ASS316 work-piece in spot welding operation. This study helps us to find out the optimum values for three parameters for Resistance Spot Welding for 0.5mm thickness of ASS316 sheet The average value of the response characteristic obtained through the confirmation experimentations lies within the 95% confidence level.

Analysis of Resistance Spot Welding Process Parameters Effect on the Weld Quality of Three-steel Sheets Used in Automotive Industry: Experimental and Finite Element Simulation

In the present research, the effects of spot-welding process parameters on the nugget diameter and electrode penetration depth of spot-welded joints were investigated. To achieve this, a spot-welded joint of three-thin sheet low carbon steels (same thicknesses of 0.8 mm) was simulated as an electerical-thermal-mechanical coupling of 3D finite element model. After validating the finite element s...
